Interning on a mission with the bomb squad. The officer I was working under wore a helmet ACUs, even though were looking around a small abandoned house for a planted bomb.
We look around and we find something that resembles a metal, dark green nerf football. Amanda's mom, who owns the building, is sitting at the table. The bomb squad guy says this particular explosive isn't dangerous and the damage would only cover a small area. To show the owner this, he sets time timer off and I, instinctively, ran for cover outside. It goes off and I carefully walk back in.
Underneath the table, face down, is a corpse in ACUs. His cheek has been completely blown off and you could clearly see his teeth and gums. I assume the owner is dead as well, but I didn't venture in further.
